Qatar University in cooperation with The Ministry of Economy and Commerce and Interactive Business Network (IBN) are organizing The Second Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum in Doha, Qatar on 2, 3 March 2015 at Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel. This second edition comes after the success of the first forum that was held on 2014 and drew wide interest and participation on the part of policy makers, the business and academic communities, and young entrepreneurs in Qatar and the region.
Building on the discussions of the first forum which covered issues of fostering and financing an entrepreneurship culture in Qatar and the other GCC countries, the forum will also assess the activities of public and private institutions involved in promoting and supporting entrepreneurial ventures in Qatar with a view to finding and recommending ways to coordinate their activities for greater effectiveness. The forum will also be employed as a platform for young entrepreneurs.
As a unique annual event on a subject of vital importance for the future of Qatar and the Gulf economies, The Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum will address the following topics:
o Entrepreneurship in the modern economy: Comparing the culture and its impact in developed and developing countries.
o Entrepreneurship as a leading force in market leadership and the growth of companies.
o Planning and the success of entrepreneurship.
o The link between innovation and entrepreneurship, and its implications.

o Creating an eco-system that supports entrepreneurship.
o Social entrepreneurship: Its meaning and commercialization potential.
o Coordinating the activities of private and public entrepreneurship promotion agencies in Qatar for more effectiveness.
Entrepreneurship in Economic Development Forum is expected to attract once again wide interest and participation on the part of officials and policy makers, business leaders, banks and specialized financial institutions, major public and private agencies involved in the promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation, and academics, economists and experts from Qatar, the rest of the Gulf countries and internationally.
