7th EXPOTROF: The Greek Fine Food Exhibition
From the 24th to the 26th of January 2020, the heart of Greek gastronomy beats in the 7th EXPOTROF –The Greek Fine Food Exhibition which will take place in the Helexpo exhibition Centre, Marousi.
The exhibition that has earned its No1 position in the preference list of producers and public alike, returns for the 7th consecutive year, larger, richer, more innovative and in a new exhibition space. The 7th EXPOTROF – The Greek Fine Food Exhibition is renewing its appointment with both the professionals of the premium sector of foods and beverages in Greece, as well as the aficionados of fine food and Greek gastronomy, giving the opportunity to producers of premium products to conclude constructive agreements, claim their own share in the public’s preference, increase their sales and star in the biggest culinary feast.
For 2020 EXPOTROF honours the Region of Crete and has organized a plethora of cooking events through which the producers of the island will have the opportunity to feature the high quality products of their homeland while the gastronomy aficionados will have the chance to enjoy authentic local high quality products and many culinary surprises from the birthplace of Mediterranean Cuisine.
Having HotelBrain, the internationally acclaimed independent hotel management company as its Golden Sponsor, EXPOTROF claims once more this year the well-deserved title of the biggest culinary celebration. The focus of attention being the public’s favourite event “Cooking Greece”, the distinguished chef Argiro Barbarigou, ambassador of 7th EXPOTROF in collaboration with acclaimed chefs from all over Greece, prepare culinary creations inspired from every corner of Greece. Furthermore, the sections «BioCorner» and «EXPOTROF Masterclass» that stood out in last year’s exhibition, will continue to impress the public through tasting and information activities around premium products and pairing opportunities.
And the surprises don’t stop here! For the first time in the 7th EXPOTROF – The Greek Fine Food Exhibition, acclaimed chefs leverage their talent and knowledge to make the most of the diversity of Greek products. In the context of the new «Greek Dish Challenge» event, acclaimed chefs will create two different dishes based on the same raw material. Which dish will best highlight the product? Which chef will stand out for the technique and processing of the raw material? The answers will be given in the kitchen of EXPOTROF!
Further more, the new unit «Honey Bar» is inaugurated, where the visitors will have the opportunity to try all the kinds of honey brought by the exhibitors and to be informed regarding the beneficial properties and specificities of beekeeping products.
Finally, EXPOTROF opens its arms to welcome 27 Calabrian producers and their special local products in a distinct section of the exhibition. They will share with us local products such as pasta, cured meats, olive oil, sweets, coffee, cheeses, ice creams, sauces and much more through the AGORA ‘CALABRIA programme presented by the Greek Italian Chamber of Athens.
For 2020, EXPOTROF is organizing personalized business meetings that will enable Greek producers to expand their entrepreneurship network in the most efficient way. Through targeted actions it creates a bridge of cooperation between producers and professional visitors from Greece and abroad, significantly contributing to the enhancement of extroversion and investment activity.
